Individuals planning to travel to the Tibet Autonomous Region between October 18 and 29 are advised to check their itineraries and make alternative arrangements if necessary. Authorities plan to suspend foreign national travel to the region during this time for the Communist Party National Congress. The Chinese government strictly controls all travel by foreign nationals to Tibet and have advised that no foreign tourists will be allowed to visit the region during this time frame.
