International travel is travel to, within or between countries outside of Australia.
Prior to booking international travel, travellers must:
Note: Once completed international travel approval forms are received, UQ Finance teams will provide payment approval to FCM Travel Solutions on your behalf (see Booking Travel section).
Once the above steps are completed, travellers can book international travel (refer to Booking Travel – How to book international travel).
High Risk Destination Approval
If travel is to a High Risk Destination/s, travellers must email completed approval forms to UQ Travel, at least 10 business days prior to planned departure, ensuring appropriate risk management is provided. UQ Travel will work with the High Risk Travel Approver to assess the travel request. UQ Travel will email travellers with an approval decision.
Travellers and approvers are responsible for checking DFAT’s travel advice levels from when they start planning until their departure and during their travels, for both their destination and transit countries. If the travel advice level increases prior to departure, the travel must be re-approved. Travel advice levels can change at short notice.
