Travel disruptions in Hong Kong as Typhoon Hato makes landfall

There are mass flight cancellations in and out of Hong Kong (HKG) today as Typhoon Hato makes landfall. Authorities are advising that Typhoon Hato is now a maximum category 10 typhoon. 

Travellers in the region are likely to be impacted with Campus Travel providing the below advice: 

  • The majority of Cathay Pacific (CX) services in and out of HKG have been cancelled between 0600 and 1700 (local time) today (Wednesday 23 August).  More information HERE
  • Hong Kong Airlines (HX) has suspended all arrivals and departures between 0700 and 1700 today also.  More information HERE
  • All ferry services between Hong Kong International Airport and Pearl River Delta & Macao have been cancelled today,  More details and schedule HERE
