US - Police Operation - Salt Lake City, Utah

Police are searching for a gunman that allegedly shot and killed at least one person at or near the University of Utah late on October 31. A shelter-in-place order is in effect for the university and nearby areas. Officials believe the suspect is in the Red Butte Canyon area near the university; roadblocks are likely near the search site, as well as the eastern part of the University of Utah campus as an investigation continues into the shooting. Localized traffic disruptions are occurring. The Utah Transit Authority (TRAX) has suspended service east of Stadium Station. Travellers are advised to avoid the area .
