Privacy information about UQ use of International SOS

The University of Queensland (UQ) has partnered with International SOS (ISOS) to offer medical, safety and security advice and assistance services to our travellers, both prior to travel and while travelling or living abroad.

The personal information you supply to ISOS via MyTrips and the ISOS mobile app (including your name, email address, phone numbers and travel details) will be used for the primary purpose of tracking and contacting travellers in the event of a travel incident. Personal information pertaining to your travel booking and itinerary is shared with UQ. UQ will not disclose this information to a third party without your consent, unless such disclosure is authorised or required by law. Personal information pertaining to your travel booking and itinerary may also be shared by ISOS with third-party providers in the event of a travel incident.

Before using International SOS’s MyTrips and the ISOS mobile app, you must agree to the privacy statement presented to you when you login to the service. 

Where your booking has been made via the UQ’s preferred travel suppliers, personal information pertaining to your travel booking and itinerary will be automatically provided to ISOS. Where your booking is made outside of the UQ’s preferred travel suppliers, you may choose not to provide such information to ISOS however, in such instances, you may not be offered travel assistance or advice.
