Aerolineas Argentina (AR) has suspended tickets sales until March 25 after 15 aircraft belonging to the airline and its subsidiary, Austral Lineas Aereas (AU), were damaged during a hail storm at Buenos Aires' Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP) the previous week. The reduction in available aircraft prompted AR and AU to reschedule and cancel several domestic and regional flights. Inspectors are due to review the damaged aircraft on March 21 with a view to returning them to full service. The airline is preparing for a spike in ticket sales ahead of the Easter holiday starting the week of March 26.
Anticipate further disruptions to AR and AU flight schedules in the coming days.
