Scandinavian airline strike

8 Sep 2017

Pilots employed by Scandinavian Airlines (SK) in Norway have threatened to stage an indefinite strike from September 11 over a dispute relating to wages and working conditions. It is currently unclear how many of the airline's 600 Norway-based pilots will participate in the action. Unless averted, the labor action will likely produce significant flight delays and cancellations at affected airports, including Oslo (OSL), Bergen (BGO), Sandefjord (TRF), Stavanger (SVG), and Trondheim (TRD). Availability on other airlines could be limited as passengers opt for alternative carriers.

Denmark-based SK pilots have also reportedly threatened to join the strike, which would likely impact flights at Copenhagen Kastrup (CPH), Aalborg (AAL), Aarhus (AAR), and Billund (BLL) airports.
