Summary
Authorities will close Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport (BRI) from 2300 February 28 to 0600 March 9 for runway repair and upgrade works. Selected flights will be diverted to Brindisi Airport (BDS), while others will be cancelled.
Authorities may extend the airport closure should there be any delays to planned works. Local authorities have reached an agreement with taxi operators to provide discount fares for transfers between BRI and BDS. Increased traffic through BDS may result in delays and other disruptions.
