UPDATE: Indonesia - Bali, Mount Agung Volcano

UPDATE 14:40 AEST 29/06/2018 -

Bali’s Ngaruh Rai International Airport in Denpasar (DPS) has closed due to the ash cloud from Mt Agung.

The airport is expected to remain closed until at least this evening (Friday 26 June 2018) with all arrivals and departures currently suspended.

Bali's Mt Agung volcano began erupting again this week and yesterday an ash cloud stretched approximately 2,000m above the peak of the mountain. 

Campus Travel is monitoring the situation and will be contacting affected customers.

If you are due to travel to Bali in the next 24 – 48 hours, and would like further information, please contact your Travel Consultant or Campus Travel team (see details below).

Travellers are also advised to check their airline website for updates.


Flying conditions around Bali continue to be affected by the ash cloud from the Mount Agung volcano, and Denpasar Airport is currently closed.

As a result, many flights to and from Bali have been cancelled. Please refer to the below airline websites for further information on specific cancellations -
