As of the morning of August 30, water has been gradually receding in parts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region after severe flooding caused major transport and business disruptions. Weather-related incidents left at least six people dead on August 29. Heavy rain falls are possible in specific areas through August 31. Flooding has been most severe in low-lying areas in Andheri, Bandra, Dadar, Juhu, Khar, Matunga, Powai, Sakinaka, and Sion.
